November 29th Rankings

The final ATP tour event of the year took place indoors in London, as the top 8 ATP ranked players met in the World Tour Finals. At the end of the day, it was the dream matchup, Federer and Nadal, with the elder Swiss proving that any rumours of his demise have been greatly exaggerated, as he won the tournament. Despite the top players being in action, there were no positional changes in the top 10.

Winners:

ATP Finals
#2 Roger Federer SUI (2)
Round Robin 1 #7 David Ferrer ESP (8)
Round Robin 2 #5 Andy Murray GBR (4)
Round Robin 3 #4 Robin Soderling SWE (5)
Semifinal #3 Novak Djokovic SRB (3)
Final #1 Rafael Nadal ESP (1)
Average Opponent Rank 4.2

Federer had an excellent week in London, and combined with his win in the Australian Open, bookended 2010 very well. He didn't drop a set it his first four matches, sweeping the round robin and then handily beating Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. He split sets in the final against Nadal, but came on strong in the third to win 6-1 and take the title.
