Kateryna Bondarenko UKR (55), Up 16
Bondarenko had a big shift in fortunes, as last year she struggled at Fed Cup Group 1, where she lost twice against the Italians. This year, she was strong in World Group 2, as she pulled Ukraine to a win over Sweden by beating Johanna Larsson (62) and Sofia Arvidsson (68), as well as teaming to get the doubles win.

Michelle Larcher de Brito POR (148), Up 32
The young Portuguese seemed like she might be placed for a breakthrough some time ago, but didn't have a good 2010. She did well in California this week, though, getting a challenger level title. Along the way she beat Madison Brengle (209) and Tetiana Luzhanska (251), among others.

Jelena Jankovic SRB (19), Down 4
Last year, Jankovic played in Serbia's Fed Cup tie against Russia, winning both her singles matches, including over Svetlana Kuznetsova (20). This year, she opted not to play, and takes a drop from losing those wins.

Lee, who was another Fed Cup player, took two losses in the Asian Group 1 round robin against some low ranked opposition, which dropped her out of the top 250.
