March 21st Rankings

The top 6 remain the same, but below that there's some major changes, as Stanislas Wawrinka's

quarterfinal sees him move up to 7th, and a couple of men take drops; Andy Roddick sees his

final from last year come off, dropping him to 9th, and Tomas Berdych's quarterfinal comes off,

leavin him down in 10th. The benefactor is David Nalbandian, who comes past both to 8th.

Riser of the Week (top 100):
Milos Raonic CAN (54), Up 12
The young Canadian moved up after making the third round in IW, including beating Mardy Fish

(13) for the second time this season, and while he did lose his next match, to young starlet

Ryan Harrison (91), he also dropped a loss to Arthur de Greef (n/a) in the first round of a

futures event last year, giving him a nice boost.

Riser of the Week (other):
Cedrik-Marcel Stebe GER (166), Up 70
Stebe, a 20-year-old German, had a great week in Asia, making the finals of the Kyoto

challenger, losing to Dominik Meffert (110), then getting revenge on Meffert in Guangzhou, also

beating Lukas Lacko (95), beofre losing in the semifinals.

Dropper of the Week (top 100):
Ivan Ljubicic CRO (46), Down 21
Ljubicic was a surprising winner of last year's Indian Wells, picking up huge wins over Novak

Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, before taking out Andy Riddkc in the final. This year, he faced an

unfortunate second round draw against Juan Martin del Potro (n/a), and so saw all of those wins

form last year drop off.

Dropper of the Week (other):
Stefan Koubek AUT (188), Down 38
Koubek qualififed for Indian Wells last year, beating Somdev Devvarman (116) in the final round,

and while he lost to David Nalabandian (8) in the first round of the main draw, he then went on

to the Sunrise challenger, where he beat Jeremy Chardy (45) en route to the quarterfinals. This

year, he played just one match in the two weeks, losing easily to Greg Jones (274) in the IW

qualies.
